Leenos announced on May 29 that it posted an operating profit of 2.17 billion won for the first quarter of this year, up 80.2 percent from a year ago.
For the January-March period of this year, its sales and net profit each amounted to 23.6 billion won and 1.6 billion won, respectively. Year on year, sales and net profit rose 24.7 percent and 50.7 percent.
By business, the fashion division, which runs Kipling and Eastpak brands, achieved sales growth thanks to the expansion in the number of its outlets, plus the increase in demand for SMU (special make up) products.
The IT division secured sales through the implementation of the train wireless telecommunications system project (2ndand 3rd stage) for the New Bundang Extension Line and the Subway Line No. 9.
ALeenos official said, “The financial performance of Dream CIS, which we completed acquisition in March, will be reflected in the consolidated statement starting from the second quarter.”
