Top real estate experts in the Urban Land Institute, a Washington, D.C.-based think tank, will come to Seoul to discuss issues important to the global real estate industry. They will take part in the Asia Real Estate Summit to be held together with Cityscape Korea 2017.
The Korea Economic Daily Asia Real Estate Summit is an international venue in which the world's real estate professionals talk about the global real estate development market and its future. The third annual summit will be held for two days from August 17 at Seoul's COEX Convention Center (Hall E).
The event will begin at 1 pm on the 17th with a keynote speech by Park Young-shin, a Korea Economic Daily reporter and head of the KED Real Estate Research Institute. On the first day "City Leaders Session" will be presided over by Ken Rhee, president of the Urban Land Institute China.
The first presenter will be former mayor of the U.S. city of Pittsburgh Tom Murphy with a title "Urban Renewal: Role of IT and Education." Byeon Chang-heum, president of Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation, will make a presentation on "Urban Renewal and New Deal Project Model to Create Urban Reform Platform." After presentations are made, Mr. Rhee will lead the panel discussion.
Established in 1936, the Urban Land Institute is a non-profit research institute focusing on urban real estate issues. Currently it has 32,000 members in 100 countries across the world.
