In a press talk held on April 7, Chung Young-hoon, CEO of NHN Payco, said, "We expect the monthly transaction amount and the cumulative transaction amount to exceed the level of 200 billion won and 2 trillion won, respectively, by the end of this year."
He added, "We are scheduled to sign an alliance with a large open market service firm within the first half of this year. We expect growth to continue as the number of affiliated stores and services has been steadily increasing."
Payco is a simple payment service launched by NHN Entertainment in August 2015, with its cumulative transaction volume estimated at 1.4 trillion won.
On April 1, NHN Entertainment spun off its Payco division and set up an independent unit NHN Payco.
