Sundaytoz, the No. 1 social game developer in Korea, announced on September 7 that its brand-new smartphone game “Anipang” broke the 10-million mark in cumulative downloads in just one month after being released on the Android market.
The daily active user (DAU) numbers for the Anipang also reached the level of 6 million, while the number of concurrent users stood at 2 million.
Anipang is a social puzzle game launched when KakaoTalk opened its game service. Any KakaoTalk user can enjoy this game with their KakaoTalk friends. The 60 million KakaoTalk users can use this game. They can exchange gifts each other and compete for higher ranks on a real-time basis.
The smartphone-version Anipang game broke the level of 2 million in downloads in two months after being launched on July 30, with its DAU rising to 1 million. On the third week after launch, Anipang grabbed the top spot on Google Play with its DAU surpassing the 2-million level. On the fourth week, Anipang passed the 5-million mark in downloads and 1 million in DAU.
